Congratulations to the awesome seven who rocked the Catholic League Speech & Debate tournament at Immaculate Heart, today. With little time to prepare after two Drama productions, the students still made their mark. Zoe Samerjan took 6th and Tess Gauthier 1st place in Dramatic Interp, Maddy Tupy & Emily Johnson took 6th and Natalie Ladolo & Rebecca Troescher 5th place in Duet Acting and rounding out the day, Grayson Wade took home 1st place in Storytelling.
The Elementary Speech Team had a wonderful time at the Ribet Academy Speech Tournament on Thursday afternoon. Here are the outstanding results.
Pierre Biscaichipy took 1st Place in Impromptu Speech. In Duo Interpretation the team of Jenna Mijares & Sophie Johnson took 1st Place and the team of Ellyse Vielma & Natalie Kraich took 2nd Place. In Storytelling, Leanne Kuhn took 1st Place, Erin Simone took 3rd Place, Ellyse Vielma took 5th Place, Allure Shurney came in 6th Place and Sophia Davis came in 7th Place.

Overcoming tremendous obstacles this week, the St. Rita Speech & Debate Team (SRSD) rose to the occassion and put on an outstanding effort at the Southern California Middle School Speech and Debate League tournament held at Ribet Academy. Lexi Dyer and Mallory Campbell captured 3rd place in TV Duo. Jackie Hischer, Kristine Kuhn, Julia Lucas, Natalie Lodolo and Brenna Stutenroth excelled in Poetry and Cathy Johnson did an outstanding job with her original advocacy speech. Congratulations to everyone.
