Welcome to the 1st Grade Page!

We are off to a great start in first grade!  Thank you for coming to Back-to-School Night.  It was nice to see the familiar faces of those whose older children were in my class, and I enjoyed meeting all the new parents.  The kids are settling in to the new routines and responsibilities.  Thank you for making sure that the homework is in the Take-Home-Folder each day.  I would appreciate it if you would remove all papers, notices, etc., and only return what is due that day.  You can also send notes for me, the office, Kids' Club, LEAPS, etc. in that folder.

The first graders have been matched up with 5th Grade Buddies, and most of them have gotten together informally at recess.  We are all excited about our trip to the L.A. Zoo next month (Oct. 19).  Watch for more information about that!
